IC07 Basalt Blues
This black sand beach is a very popular stop in Iceland, which means bus loads of tourists, even in the howling wind. Late in the evening, there is a time photographers call the blue hour. When taking this photo, the rocks certainly did not appear this blue, but that is the way the image turned out so I retained the color during my processing. Seth, a fellow photographer who invited me on this trip to Iceland, had great fun laughing at the tourists and photographers being caught off guard by the occasional large rogue wave.
