Along Route 66 west of Amarillo, Texas, Cadillac Ranch was construed and erected by a group of artistic hippies from San Francisco back in 1974. They called themselves The Ant Farm. Ten Cadillacs from the 1949 Club Sedan to the 1963 Sedan de Ville and their now vandalized tail fins point to the sky. The smell of spray paint is detected from 100 yards away. I visited this iconic art work on two successive mornings. What was spray painted and visible one morning was painted over with new art the next. Forty years of spray painting has built up the layers and layers of paint to over an inch in many places. Bring your paint and have some fun.
