IC12 Iceburg Beach
This black sand beach is just across the highway from Jökulsárlón, the glacier lagoon in Southern Iceland. This was one heck of a difficult shooting environment. The wind was blowing, we were cold and doing our best to dodge the occasional large wave. I had waders on up to my knees, but as always happens at the beach, you go in a little too far. So now my waterproof boots are full of ice water. But none of us could stop, the sun was setting on this unusual black sand beach with giant blue ice cubes.
