UK16 Poppy Fields Forever
At the Tower of London is a temporary display of 888,246 unique, hand made ceramic poppies. Each poppy represents a British death in the First World War. This is an evolving installation as more poppies are planted every day by volunteers. Upon completion, the Blood Swept Lands and Seas of Red covered the entire lawn. This display is scheduled to be taken down November 12, 2014 and each poppy was sold for 35 British pounds.
