Mcway Waterfall is a surprising beauty in Julia Pfeiffer Burns State Park along Big Sur. It is a very short walk from the parking lot. In the 1930's a house was constructed at this very point. This view of the 80 foot waterfall was seen from their bedroom window. The foundation of the old house can be seen since the rest of the house was torn down by the state. This waterfall used to fall directly into the ocean, but a massive landslide filled in part of the beach area.
